Evo Music Rooms was a music competition and showcase in the United Kingdom that featured established and up and coming artists.[1][2][3] The competition was sponsored by Fiat,[4][5] and aired in 2010 on Channel 4 hosted by Edith Bowman.[6][7][8]
History
Evo Music Rooms was produced by Channel 4 and sponsored by Fiat.[9] The show was hosted by Edith Bowman, and aired on Channel 4 in 2010.[10] The competition sought to showcase the best unsigned bands and solo musicians in the UK.[11] Three winners were chosen from over 2000 applicants.[12] The competition winners included Viktoria Modesta,[13] Alejandro Toledo (musician) and the Magic Tombolinos,[14] and Shadez the Misfit.[15] The television series aired in 7 episodes on Channel 4. Each episode featured a different established artist, which included Doves,[16] The Specials,[17] Graham Coxon,[18] Faithless,[19] Biffy Clyro, Caribou, and Plan B.[20][21]
