Farinaz Koushanfar
Farinaz Koushanfar is an Iranian[1] electrical engineer and professor. She is associate professor at the Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in December 1998, Master of Science from UCLA and MA in statistics and PhD in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley in December 2005.[1]
Honours
- Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers by Department of Defense (2009)[2]
- Named as TR35 (Innovators under 35) by MIT Technology Review (2008) for developing an approach to "foil hardware pirates using tiny physical variations between circuit elements on a chip--variations produced normally in the chip-manufacturing process."[3]
