Figline Valdarno was a comune (municipality) in the Province of Florence in the Italian region of Tuscany, located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Florence. As of 31 December 2013, it had a population of 17,136 and an area of 71.7 square kilometres (27.7 sq mi).[1] The municipality is the birthplace of Marsilio Ficino.
Since January 1st, 2014 the comune has been united with Incisa in Val d'Arno in one new municipality called Figline e Incisa Valdarno.
Figline Valdarno borders the following municipalities: Castelfranco di Sopra, Cavriglia, Greve in Chianti, Incisa in Val d'Arno, Pian di Scò, Reggello, San Giovanni Valdarno.

Transportation
The town is well served by the station with frequent trains to Florence and Arezzo. Near the station there is a bus terminal that connects Figline with the towns nearby.
