Finding Me: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed is a 2015 biographical memoir by Michelle Knight and contributed by Michelle Burford. Her memoir tells the story of her tumultuous childhood, her estrangement from her family, her fight for custody for her then-young son as well as being kidnapped, raped, tortured and was even put into captivity by the hands of her abductor, Ariel Castro.[1][2][3][4][5]
Knight's book served as the outline for the Lifetime network movie entitled, Cleveland Abduction.[6] The book debuted May 6, 2014 in the number two spot on the New York Times Bestseller List.[7] The memoir was named to the top 20 best biographies and memoirs list by Amazon.com in 2014.[8]
