Flying Dragon Airlines is an airline based at Nepalgunj Airport in Nepal.
History
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal granted Flying Dragon Airlines an air operators certificate in 2005. The airline was required to be based in Nepalgunj.[1]
Chinese aviation company China Flying Dragon Aviation, based in Harbin, partly owns Flying Dragon Airlines.[2][3] The airline was due to launch in September 2005, using Y-12 17-seater dual passenger/cargo aircraft.[4]
Services
Flying Dragon Airlines is authorised to operate services to the following destinations:[5][6]
Nepalgunj, Dolpa, Surkhet, Jumla, Lukla, Rukum, Jomsom, Simikot and Kathmandu.
Fleet
The airline intended to operate three Harbin Y-12.[3][4] According to PlaneLogger.com, only two were delivered and only one remains in the fleet.[7]
