Francesco Gatti is an architect and the owner of 3Gatti (stylized as 3GATTI).[1]

Career

Originally from Italy, Gatti has also lived and worked in China,[2] where he relocated his architectural firm 3Gatti to Shanghai. He first opened the firm in 2002 in the city of Rome, before opening the Chinese branch of the firm in 2004.[3] He is an advocate of artists working in developing countries in order to be a part of their cultural development.[4]

Projects

Gatti designed the SND women’s fashion boutique in Chongqing, China. Its ceiling was described by Interior Design as, “Layers of white fiberglass sheets descend from overhead to form cozy little spaces connected by a meandering path. Along the route, customers encounter the clothing and accessories, snuck into various folds.”[1] He has also designed spaces and buildings in other Chinese cities, including Shanghai,[5][6] such as the lounge Zebar,[7] Hangzhou,[8] Beijing, and Nanjing,[3] where he designed the automobile museum.[9]
