George Frederick "Fred" Nidd (1869–1956) was an English professional footballer. He played for a large number of clubs in the Football League and Southern League in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.[1] His primary position was as a full back, but he did play professionally in goal for Grimsby Town, as well as for four consecutive league matches for Watford.[2] After retiring, Nidd remained in the town of Watford. He played for the reserves, and made a return to the first team as a goalkeeper during the First World War.[3]
