In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the giant bloodworm is a type of monster.
Publication history
The giant bloodworm first appeared in White Dwarf #12 (April 1979). The giant bloodworm appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]
The giant bloodworm appeared in second edition under the "worm" entry in the Monstrous Manual (1993).[2]
Description
A giant bloodworm is a mottled green worm with a dark, slimy, brown underbelly. A giant bloodworm attacks when hungry or when stepped on by trying to fasten its mouth to its victim, thereby draining blood until it is killed or removed.
