Graham Virgo
Professor Graham Virgo is Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education and Professor of English Private Law at the University of Cambridge. He is also a fellow of Law at Downing College, Cambridge. He is the author of leading works dealing with the law of unjust enrichment, Equity and trusts, and the criminal law. His work is frequently cited by the English courts.[1]
Virgo graduated from Downing College in 1987 after obtaining a BA in Law. He later received a BCL from Oxford. Virgo was made Professor of English Private Law at Downing in October 2007. He lectures and supervises the study of criminal law and the law of restitution, and currently lectures in the law of contract. He is a recipient of The Pilkington Teaching Prize of Cambridge University in Law (2002), recognised for Outstanding Teaching in Law in Cambridge University.
He is a keen actor and is currently a member of Gamlingay Players, where he recently directed Alan Ayckbourne's Table Manners and Living Together, as well as performing in various titles
