Greenair was a charter airline based in Turkey
Company history
Greenair was founded in 1990 to fly Turkish expatriate workers and tourists from destinations in Germany and Paris, London, Milan and Amsterdam to Turkey. This airline was a join venture with Russian investors and thus used Soviet built aircraft. The first aircraft was the Tupolev Tu-154, followed by the Tupolev Tu-134, which it planned to use on scheduled services between Istanbul and Moscow; but those plans could not be carried out. In December 1994 Green Air ceased operations, but was reactivated in 1995 as Active Air. That venture also went out of business a year later.[1]
