HR 6135 is an orange giant star, type K0.5III, 800 light-years from here in the southern constellation of Apus that shines with an apparent visual magnitude of 5.50 making it the 12th-brightest star in the constellation. Its declination of minus 70° 59.4' puts it just within 20 degrees of the southern celestial pole.
