Halstead Property is an American residential real estate brokerage firm, headquartered in the Manhattan borough of New York City, New York.[1]
The company was founded in 1984 by Clark P. Halstead, previously a founder of Sotheby's Realty,[2] and Diane M. Ramirez. Since being founded, the firm has grown to nearly 1,000 agents throughout its 26 retail offices located in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
In 2001, the business was acquired by Terra Holdings, a New York-based real estate management and brokerage company. Terra Holdings also owns Brown Harris Stevens. Halstead's coupling with Brown Harris Stevens makes Terra Holdings one of the largest residential firms in New York City.[3][4]
