Heat (primarily stylised as HEAT), is a song written and conducted primarily by American-based electronic dance musicians The Knocks.
It was released on 21 October 2016, through Big Beat Records and Neon Gold Records, as their first single to be released since their explosive debut album, 55. It features vocals from X Ambassadors' lead vocalist Sam Nelson Harris, who previously appeared with the duo in their 2013 single "Comfortable".
The single comes after the success of their debut album, which sparked hits with artists such as Wyclef Jean, POWERS and Matthew Koma. The album achieved success as snippets appearing in advertisements and shows across the US.
The band toured with Justin Bieber, Ellie Goulding and The 1975 and for producing musical material for Carly Rae Jepsen as well as Wyclef. "Heat" was released during the European leg of Beiber's Purpose tour.
