Hell's Angel (documentary)

Hell's Angel is a 1994 Channel 4 television documentary about Mother Teresa hosted by Christopher Hitchens and directed by Jenny Morgan. A precursor to his extended essay The Missionary Position (1995), the film claims that Mother Teresa urged the poor to accept their fate and portrayed the rich as divinely favored. Hitchens co-wrote the show's script with journalist Tariq Ali.^[1]^[2]

Aroup Chatterjee's criticisms inspired the documentary. It was co-produced with journalist and filmmaker Tariq Ali. Chatterjee and Hitchens were the two Devil's advocates, or hostile witnesses to Catholic Church procedures for the beatification of Mother Teresa in 2003.^[3]
