Holmes ribgrass virus (HRV), is a species of Tobamovirus,[1] also known as ribgrass mosaic virus (RMV), Plantago virus, Ribgrass strain of tobacco mosaic virus and Youcai mosaic virus.

Holmes ribgrass virus is an RNA-containing virus with rod-shape particles. It can be found in many wild plant species, this virus not produced serious epidemic diseases, and was the inciting pathogen of a necrotic virus disease in burly tobacco.[2][3]
