Innova Junior College (IJC) is a government co-educational junior college located in Woodlands, Singapore, offering two-year pre-university courses leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examination.
History
Innova Junior College received the first cohort of students to its new campus in January 2005.[1] The college was officially declared open by Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of National Development and Member of Parliament for Sembawang GRC on 2 February 2007.[2] The mission of the college then was "to nurture leaders and advocates with the passion to serve with honour and humility."[3]
An alumni association was officially formed as a registered society in 2015.

Vision, Mission and Values
In 2015, the college adopted a vision of being "a forward-looking community of leaders and thinkers" with a mission "to develop future-ready leaders and thinkers" supported by moral values of Humanity and Integrity, and performance values of Clarity, Agility and Professionalism.[6]
House System
The House System at Innova Junior College aims to promote espirit de corps, leadership and responsibility among students. There are four houses, each representing a constellation. The first letter of the name of each house forms the acronym "STAR", a key symbol in the college badge.
The four houses are
- Sagittarius (Green)
- Taurus (Red)
- Aquila (Blue)
- Rasalas (Yellow)
Students represent their houses in academic, sporting and cultural activities and earn House Points. An Overall Challenge Trophy is awarded to the House with the most points annually.
From 2015, the allocation of Year 1 students to houses was changed to a class-based system from the previous system of having students across different houses in each class. Each House is led by a House Captain, a Year 2 student, who leads the respective House Committee.
Anthem
The college anthem of IJC is entitled, Ad Astra, meaning "to the stars". It was written by Singapore composer Dick Lee as pro bono service in 2005. Lyrics were written by a teacher at Innova Junior College, Mdm Chitrakala Arumugam, in 2006.
Campus
Innova Junior College is equipped with five lecture theaters, the largest of which has a seating capacity of 600 students. Learning studios are available for tutorials to be held in. Four seminar rooms are used for larger classes.
Its library (the Libraria) has two levels, is well equipped with a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books. The seven discussion rooms within are painted in different colours, and named after famous philosophers; each of which are furnished with tables, chairs and a whiteboard. There is a blue studio situated on the second floor of the Libraria.
Apart from the canteen, there is also a cafe (iCafe).
Other facilities include the gym, two dance studios, a volleyball court, netball court, squash court, futsal court, basketball court, 8-lane track, field, air rifle range and CCA blocks. The college has wireless internet within its campus for students' use.
Academic Information
Recognised by the Ministry of Education, Singapore as a Centre of Excellence for New Media and New Media Arts.[7] Innova Junior College also offers the Singapore Ministry of Education Malay Language Elective Programme.[8]
