Intragovernmental Coordination Committee (Georgia House)

The House Intragovernmental Coordination Committee is a 15 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and 12 members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to evaluate local legislation, or bills that primarily impact only one political subdivision.^[1]

Scope and jurisdiction

The House Intragovernmental Coordination Committee is responsible for all local legislation, or locally sponsored bills that primarily only impact one political subdivision such as a city or a county. The committee has jurisdiction over all legislation processed through Georgia's House of Representatives and is assigned oversight of general legislation affecting a variety of subjects including local governments throughout the state.^[1]
