The Inverleigh Football Netball Club is an Australian rules football club which has competed in the Geelong DFL since 2002.[1] They are based in the Victorian town of Inverleigh. Inverleigh reformed and joined the Geelong DFL in 2002 after being in recess for six years.
History
- 1914 to 1923 - Leigh District FA - Premiers 1914,1919,1923
1916/17/18 - WWI 1924 and 1925 - In recess, many players played with Bannockburn Football Club
- 1926 One year in Polwarth FA - runners up
- 1927 to 1935 - Matheson Cup - Premiers 1927
- 1936 Geelong sub-district FA
- 1937 - in recess for 1 year
1938 - 1952 Elliott cup - Premiers 1947, 1949, 1950,1952
- 1953 - Recess for 1 year - players went to either Bannockburn or Stonehaven
1954 - Woolworth Cup to 1969 - Geelong DFL - premiers 1961
- 1970 - Merged with Leigh Districts Junior Football Club and known as Leigh Districts - 1992 Div. 2 Premiers
- 1996 Leigh Districts go into recess.
