It Takes Two is the debut album released by hip hop duo Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock. It was released in 1988 for Profile Records and featured production from DJ E-Z Rock, Rob Base, Donald "O" Bowden and Thomas Dean. Both the album and the title track/single were certified platinum by the RIAA on June 12, 1989 and December 28, 1989, respectively.
The album produced multiple hit singles in "It Takes Two" and "Joy and Pain".
