JD & The Straight Shot is an Americana/Roots Rock band based in New York City founded by frontman and guitarist James Dolan.
JD & The Straight Shot have toured alongside The Eagles, The Allman Brothers Band, ZZ Top, Jewel, Keith Urban, the Dixie Chicks, Joe Walsh and Robert Randolph. Their song "Can't Make Tears" is the theme song for AMC's TV show Hell on Wheels. Their music has also been featured in films including Hurricane Season, "August: Osage County" and "Butter."
