JLab Audio is an award-winning consumer audio brand founded in 2005 with a passion for promoting an active lifestyle through innovative technology and affordability.[1] The brand's products have won awards from numerous tech and audio publications.[2] Most recently, JLab Audio was recognized for its Epic2 Bluetooth Sport Wireless Earbuds by numerous sources and continues to make strides in the audio world by following their mission of “keeping you rocking with high quality gear, inspired designs, and world class, hassle free customer support.”[3]

History

JLab was founded in 2005 in Tucson, Arizona, where they operated until 2012 when they relocated to Oceanside, California.[4] This occurred after the company was purchased in January by a Dallas, TX based private equity group. Since then, JLab has moved away from its budget-line roots and begun re-branding itself as an affordable premium audio retailer with an athleisure-focused brand image.

In 2015, JLab's Epic Bluetooth Earbuds won a TWICE Picks Award at International CES Show in Las Vegas.[5] The same Epic Bluetooth Headphones were featured in Livestrong.com as The Best Gear and Accessories for runners.,[6] PCMag called the Epic, "Powerful, distortion-free audio performance with deep bass presence. Secure fit. Splash-proof design. Lots of useful accessories."[7]

JLab’s new Epic2 Bluetooth Earbuds is the brand’s most award-winning earbud with countless acknowledgements and notable recognition. The Epic2 was chosen as the #1 pick for “Best Wireless Headphones for Running” by The Verge, as well as for The Wirecutter’s “Best Wireless Exercise Headphones.” The earbud was acknowledged as “Better Than Beats” on GeekMom blog and was also chosen as the #1 earbud for “If You Don’t Want to Buy Apple Airpods, Get One of These Bluetooth Earphones Instead” by Maxim. In addition to these recognitions, the Epic2 was also chosen by Reviewed.com to be the #1 pick for the “Best Overall Wireless Earbud” and by Digital Trends as #1 for going the distance for “The 5 Best Headphones for Running.” GQ Magazine also acknowledged the Epic2 as the #1 pick for “Best Wireless Workout Headphones.” The earbud has an IPX5 splashproof rating to hold up against sweat and has a 12-hour battery life.[8]

In addition to the Epic2, JLab Audio’s new Flex Bluetooth Active Noise Canceling Headphones are noted by Head-Fi’s Owen Heuston as “…a really good Bluetooth headphone that can also be used wired.” [9] These headphones utilize Active Noise-Canceling technology to cancel 94 percent of unwanted background noise for half the price of competitors’ headphones with up to 60 hours of noise-canceling playtime, 30 hours of Bluetooth playtime or 10 hours of noise-cancelling playtime with Bluetooth.[10]

JLab Audio’s newest speaker, the Crasher XL Splashproof Bluetooth Speaker, provides consumers with a durable, waterproof speaker that can be used by someone for an active lifestyle with its splash-proof rating of IPX6 and 13-hour Bluetooth battery life.[11]
