Darul Uloom Blackburn, also known as Jamiatul Ilm Wal Huda, is an Islamic independent school for boys located in Blackburn in the English county of Lancashire.[1] The name Jamiatul Ilm Wal Huda means The College of Knowledge and Guidance.

The school was founded in 1997[2] by Mufti Abdus-Samad Ahmed, the current principal. A very quietly spoken man in nature. The majority pupils that attend the school are local, but some boys come from around the UK, and a small minority are international students.[3] The school therefore offers boarding facilities for about a third of its pupils.[4] Jamiah received outstanding by BSI in 2012 in both its boarding and school. It again received outstanding in 2015 by Ofsted in regards to its boarding facilities. Its students achieved 100% A*-C passes at GCSE level.

Purpose
