Jammikunta is a municipal town, Industrial and major Business centre, located in the Karimnagar district in the state of Telangana, India.[3] It is the major town in the Karimnagar District. It is located on the northern part of Telangana. It is a major industrial hub, a business centre, and a Mandal headquarters. Jammikunta serves as the centre for trade and education for more than 60 villages surrounding it. At the 2011 census it had a population of 32,645, 16,894 males and 15,751 females.[2]

Jammikunta city council Nagar Panchayat was constituted in 2011 and is classified as a second grade municipality with 20 election wards. The jurisdiction of the civic body is spread over an area of 30.97 km2 (11.96 sq mi).[1]

Transport

Being situated on Grand Trunk Railway line, Jammikunta is well connected with metropolis such as Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow....etc. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation operates bus services from Jammikunta bus station.[4]

Bogampadu

Bogampadu is a small village in Jammikunta Mandal which is located in Karimnagar district, Telangana state, India Pin code (505122). This village is near to the famous temple of Sri Rama Ellanthakunta. The primary economy in the region is agriculture.

Local leaders, such as MLA Mr. Damodhar, have helped develop the village by building a school and bridge for villagers to enter other communities. Recently the village was recognized by the Telangana government's finance minister, Sri Eatela Rajender Garu. The major caste are Reddy, who are affiliated with Hinduism. There is a temple to Lord Hanuman at the middle of the village serving as a central landmark and place of worship.

Bogampadu is nearer to the village Sirisedu. Approximately 1.5 kilometers from sirisedu village.
