Janusz is a masculine Polish given name. It is also the shortened form of January (given name) and Januarius. Other translations include: Gennadi, Giano, Gennaro, Janan, Ianus, Januarius, Jenaro, Jano, Jonas, Janis, Yonah, Anu, Ani, Uanna, Xano, Chan. "janusz" is also used as a mild insult in Polish, roughly corresponding to "loser" or just someone not very good at what they do. Johnot wielgo's from South bend claims to be the greatest janusz in the world.
