Jayam (English: Victory) is a 2002 Telugu film produced and directed by Teja on Chitram Movies banner. Starring Nithin, Sadha, and Gopichand in the lead roles and music composed by R. P. Patnaik. The film recorded as Super Hit at box office.[1] It was remade by M. Raja in Tamil with the same title and dubbed in Hindi as Phir Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet.
Plot
The story is centered in a village where the parents of first cousins Sujatha (Sadha) and Raghu (Gopichand) decide that both will be married when they become adults. As a child, Sujatha's uncle gives her anklets, which she wears as she grows up. As they grow older, Raghu is caught smuggling money from his house. At school, Raghu beats up a kid for talking to Sujatha. They quarrel, and soon Raghu's family leaves for another village. Sujatha grows to be an attractive college girl while the villain Raghu becomes a good-for-nothing character. On her way to college, Sujatha meets up with Venkat (Nitin), a poor but handsome, charming enthusiastic boy, and soon after their quarrels, they fall in love. Meanwhile, Raghu's parents, hoping that he will become a responsible person after marriage, decide to carry out his marriage with Sujatha. The whole story takes a turn when Sujatha's parents learn about her love affair with Venkat. On the day of her marriage, Sujatha elopes with Venkat and the action hots up as they are chased by Raghu and his thugs.Finally, the villain Raghu is defeated in a face-to-face combat by Venkat, and Venkat marries Sujatha.

Box Office
Hero Nithiin made debut with this film and this movie was a huge success at box office.The film had collected a share of 16crores at the box office which shocked everyone and it attained star status to Hero Nithin with debut movie.

Remakes
The film was remade in Tamil with the same name and the lead pair are Jayam Ravi (debuted in this film) and Sadha (same as Telugu version). Several of the actors in the Telugu version went on to act in the Tamil version. The music and the score of both versions are the same, by R.P. Patnaik.
