Jefferson High School was a public high school located in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Academics

JHS (Jefferson High School) offered more than 180 required and elective courses including college course opportunities, online selections, individualized study, and career/service mentorships. Many of these opportunities were given through the Alexandria Technical and Community College. In 2014 a new Jefferson High School and an art center was built. [3] The new facility includes new athletic fields, a stadium and a 1,000 seat auditorium. The new high school is called Alexandria Area High School and was designed by JLG Architects & Cuningham Group[4]

Sports and Activities

Jefferson offered more than 50 student activities including the full complement of Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) offerings, featuring varsity sports, fine and performing arts, and numerous school clubs and organizations. Sports include:

Jefferson Senior High School also had a music program, where dedicated and talented directors taught the art of music.

Jefferson had over a thousand students that attend it.
