John Trainer
John Patrick Trainer (born 24 March 1943) is a former Australian politician. He served as Speaker of the South Australian House of Assembly from 1986 to 1990 for the John Bannon Labor government. He also served as government whip from 1982 to 1985 and from 1989 to 1993. He represented Labor in the seats of Ascot Park from 1979 to 1985 and Walsh from 1985 to 1993 in the South Australian House of Assembly.[1] Trainer has been mayor of the City of West Torrens since 2000.[2]
