Jonah Bryson (director)
Jonah Bryson, born Jonah Louis Bryson, is a young film director and singer-songwriter, best known for co-directing The Fight For Bala with Rob Stewart, which was released with The Huffington Post.[1] According to his biography on the CBC website[2] and Rotten Tomatoes,[3] Bryson has worked with Chris Hadfield, Sylvia Earle, David Cook (Taylor Swift's musical director) and Matt Billingslea (Lady Antebellum's drummer) on projects concerning global environmental challenges.
The Fight For Bala
The residents of Bala (a small town in Muskoka, Ontario) have been opposing the construction of a hydro-electric generating station from the past 10 years, according to Bryson's article on National Geographic.[4] The documentary, titled "The Fight For Bala" examines the local issues and the town's determination to stopping the proponents from building the power station. Following the release of the film, Washington Post and Roger Ebert Pulitzer Prize winning Critic Tom Shales called Jonah "An ambitious young man in love with the planet he lives on".[5]
