Jonathan Ian Longley (born 12 April 1969 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States of America) is a former English cricketer. Longley was a right-handed batsman who played occasionally as a wicketkeeper.
Longley made his first-class debut for Kent in the 1989 County Championship against Essex. The same season Longley made his List-A debut for the Combined Universities against Surrey.
Longley played ten first-class matches for Kent, the last of which came against Northamptonshire in 1993. He scored 361 runs at an average of 21.23, including a career high score of 110. In addition Longley played fourteen one-day matches for Kent, the last of which came against Lancashire in August 1993. After making infrequent appearances for Kent, Longley left the county and joined Durham for the 1994 County Championship season.
Longley made his Durham debut in the County Championship against Derbyshire and his one-day debut against Sussex County Cricket Club. Longley played in 25 first-class and 36 one-day matches for Durham from 1994 to 1996. In first-class cricket, Longley scored 1,020 runs for the club at an average of 24.28 including one century and seven half-centuries. In one-day cricket Longley scored 817 runs at an average of 26.35, scoring four half-centuries. Longley left Durham at the end of the 1996 County Championship.
As mentioned above, Longley represented the Combined Universities in one-day cricket. Longley played thirteen matches for them, the last of which came against Northamptonshire in the 1991 Benson and Hedges Cup.
