Karuthamuthu

Karuthamuthu ( English: Black Pearl) is an Indian television series which launched on Asianet. Renu soudar and Kishore Sathya plays as the main protagonists of the series.^[1] Show was launched in 2014 replacing Kailasanathan at 10 pm, Later shifted to 7:30pm shuffling the schedule of Sthreedhanam to 10 pm.This show is a spin off of the show Kumkumapoovu .

Plot

The story revolves around the life of Karthika, a dark-skinned and pure hearten girl. She passing through several circumstances socially and mentally only due to her dark-skin. She finally gets married to a Doctor, Balachandran who becomes a good hearten husband to her and supports her in each and every issues she faces and they are blessed with a cute and lovely baby girl, Balachandrika.But Karthu leaves Kaipamangalam as everyone including her husband misunderstood her.Story took a leap of 6 years, Nathan finds karthu and her daughter roaming around in streets of Tamil Nadu and takes them back but karthu is physically ill and admits her in a hospital without being into others eyes. The series takes a twist with Bala's arrival to Kaipamangalam.^[2] Everyone refuses her except Balan.Later Balachandran and family comes to know that Balamol is his own daughter at the same time Karthu's Presence on the other hand Mareena and Balan's Marriage was fixed, cruel Mareena comes to know the fact that Balan is making fool of her and plans to kill him. Mareena and Karthu's step father know that Karthu and her daughter is alive.They are planning to kill them without anyone knowing about it.

The show started airing on Asianet in October 2014 and It aired on Monday to Saturday 10:00PM IST. Later its timing changed Starting from Monday 11 March 2015, the show was shifted to 7:30PM IST time Slot.
