- And While We Were Here, (writer, director, producer) 2012 feature film premiered in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival and was released by Wellgo. Coiro made And While We Were Here for $150,000 while she was eight months pregnant.

Coiro attended Carnegie Mellon University and the Moscow Art Theater for history, theater and directing. Coiro studied briefly as a fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory.
Personal life
Coiro is married to actor Rhys Coiro; they have three children.
