Route description
KY 1651 begins at a junction with U.S. Route 27 (US 27) at Pine Knot. It travels north-northwestward toward Stearns. It intersects KY 742, which leads to the Blue Heron Mining Community inside the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. KY 1651 then runs concurrently with KY 92 for 0.175 miles (0.282 km). KY 1651 goes into the limits of Whitley City, the McCreary County seat, where it intersects KY 700, but does not meet its second junction with US 27 until its northern terminus south of Flat Rock.
