Kilimanjaro Live is a live event promotions company specialising in music concerts, based in the United Kingdom. They are one of the largest event promoters in the UK. They own or operate Sonisphere Festival, Wakestock Festival and Warped Tour (Europe only).[1][2][3] The company was founded by music promoter Stuart Galbraith in 2008 as a joint venture with AEG Live.[4] In 2012 the organisation was restructured leaving Galbraith as sole owner of Kilimanjaro Live.[5] Previously Galbraith worked as Managing Director of Live Nation[6] and was responsible for the creation of Download Festival, Wireless Festival, Hyde Park Calling and the Live8 Concert.[7][8][9]

Sonisphere is a rock/metal touring festival taking place across Europe between June and August. The festival was created in 2009 by Kilimanjaro Live and John Jackson.[10] It is jointly promoted by Kilimanjaro Live and K2. The festival has hosted heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Slayer, Alice Cooper and Megadeth. On 29 March 2012 the UK leg of the festival was cancelled. Sonisphere continues to run in Italy, France and Spain yearly.[11]

Wakestock is Europe's largest wakeboard music festival, combining the cultures of music and wakeboarding.[12] It is held on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales, in between Pwllheli and Llanbedrog. Founded by Mark Durston, the festival began in Abersoch, North Wales back in 2000.[13] In 2008 the festival was bought by Kilimanjaro Live.[14] The festival is split over three sites - the main festival site at Penrhos, Pwllheli Marina hosts the main wakeboard competition and Abersoch Bay hosts the Big Air Classic competition. The festival prides itself as being at the foot of the Snowdonia Mountains and looks out over Cardigan Bay. Previous headline music acts have included Ellie Goulding, Calvin Harris, Dizzee Rascal, Ed Sheeran, Bastille, The 1975, Example and James.[15]

Warped Tour was created in 1994 by Kevin Lyman and became sponsored by Vans Skateboards in 1995. The music/sports festival toured the USA for many years before Kilimanjaro Live licensed the European operations of Warped Tour in 2012.[16] In the United Kingdom, Warped Tour is hosted at Alexandra Palace in North London.[17] In 2012 the headliners were Lostprophets and Bring Me the Horizon, in 2013 the currently scheduled headliners are Enter Shikari, Rise Against, Parkway Drive and Billy Talent.[18]
