King Byerd

The King Byerd is a Cornish cultivar of domesticated apple.

Fruits are of green colour, turning yellow with ripening, with flecks of red and grey russet.^[1] Tree is a heavy cropping, producing large fruit.^[2] Harvested from late October with sharp taste mostly recommended for cooking,^[1] and at its best in January when tartness mellows. Uses for dual purpose.^[3] Susceptible to apple scab^[1]^[2]
