Largo High School is a high school located in Largo, Florida, United States. The school's athletic teams are known as the "Packers," and the school colors are blue and gold. Its current principal is Brad Finkbeiner.
Activities and programs
Largo has an active arts program which includes Mixed Choir (beginners), Concert Choir (intermediate), Chamber Choir (advanced), Madrigal Singers (club), a new Beginning Band, Blue Band (intermediate), the Band of Gold (both a marching band and concert band), Jazz Band, and Thespian Troop 911. In the 1970s, Largo High School's band program won the Florida state, national, and world-wide title competitions.
The school is home to the ExxCEL program, formerly the 21st Century Learning Center and Teaching Arts Academy, a Pinellas County magnet program. The program focuses on using projects and interactive study to teach students instead of using textbooks.
Cross-country program
In 1983, Largo High School was awarded the National Cross Country Championship through the XC Legacy series.[1]
