Lee Lam Thye

Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye (Chinese: 李霖泰; pinyin: Lǐ Lín Tài) is a Malaysian politician and a social activist who is a former leader of the Democratic Action Party (DAP). Lee completed his secondary education at St Michael's Institution in Ipoh, Perak where he obtained his Senior Cambridge Certificate in 1965.

He was the elected State Legislative Assemblyman for Bukit Nenas, Selangor from 1969 to 1974 and served as Member of Parliament for Kuala Lumpur Bandar/Bukit Bintang[1] from 1974 to 1990, until he left the DAP party and retired from politics in 1990.

He has written a book, entitled, As I Was Saying: Viewpoints, Thoughts and Aspirations of Lee Lam Thye.[2]
