Lesara is a clothes online store founded in Berlin in 2013 by Roman Kirsch, Matthias Wilrich and Robin Müller..[1] In 2015 Lesara raised 15€ million in funding rounds from investors, including Northzone and Vorwerk Ventures. Wired included Lesara on his 2016 "Hottest Startups". list,[2] and The Next Web listed Lesara as the "Europe's fastest growing Tech Startup" in 2016[3][4][5][6]

History

Lesara was founded in 2013 by Roman Kirsch (CEO), Matthias Wilrich (COO) and Robin Müller (CTO).[7][8] The company has its head office located in Berlin, Germany and a 2nd office in Guangzhou, China.[7]

Lesara has over 200 employees and an estimated 4 million users every month buying 70,000 products.[7] Lesara sells in 23 European countries and has established partnerships with distributors and manufacturers in other countries.[9]

In 2015, Lesara raised $24 million in 3 rounds (Seed, Series A and Series B) from Mangrove Capital, Partech, and Northzone among others. This helped the international expansion of the company.[10][11]

Products and services

Lesara sells clothes, furniture and house decorations.[9] The company uses Agile Retail, a direct-to-consumer model that uses data to predict trends, manage production cycles, and deliver products.[12][5]
