Lisette McSoud Mondello graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Mondello has headed the press offices for Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, Sen. Alfonse D'Amato of New York and Rep. Jim Collins of Texas. She has been senior vice president for the Dallas-based Spaeth Communications, Inc. and executive director of the Texas Foundation for Conservative Studies and Associated Texans Against Crime. Before coming to VA, she was senior advisor to the Secretary of Education and helped develop the long-term communications plan for the No Child Left Behind Act.[1]
