  7. The Regionalliga was restructured in 2012, with the Regionalliga Bayern replacing the Regionalliga Süd for Bavarian teams
  8. Bayern II faced Regionalliga West champions Fortuna Köln in a promotion play-off, and lost on away goals after a 2–2 draw
