"Hamatzav Tzav" (המצב צב) |
March 24, 2005 |
The reunion episode, which occurs about 19 years after the last episode in the series, an elevator is built in the building. All the residents of the building helped finance the elevator except of Yehoram and Liora. Tiki is concerned about Galia not being married yet and she keeps on mentioning how she longs for a grandchild. Ilan is convicted of share fraud and is sentenced to community service at a nursing home. During the episode Nevo's (Evitar's son) turtle is frozen by mistake, and as a result Tiki orders a new turtle instead of the frozen turtle (although in the end it turns out that the turtle was dead for over two years). The episode mainly revolves around the Yehoram and Liora losing their jobs - a fact that they hide from each other, which generates the comic tension of the episode. When the truth is revealed, they decide to devote their retirement age on themselves and decide to take a trip around the world, although for this to happen they need the money they gave Ilan for investments (it turns out in retrospect that the money they gave him was used to cover the rest of the cost of the elevator). Ultimately all turns out well when Hanna saves the day by writing Yehoram and Liora a check for the money, from the profits she made of major sales of a ringtone she made. |
