Little Angels Public School

The Little Angels Public School is located at Jaggayyapeta, Andhra Pradesh, India.

It was established in 1980 as a school for the members of the Indian aristocracy. It is situated on a 5-acre (20,000 m2) campus. Children are schooled from pre-primary school through the 10th standard (age 3 to age 16). The school is recognized by the state government. Its administrative body is a non-profit organisation who maintain the school.

History

The school was started in 1978, by committee members who wanted to give an English medium school to Jaggayyapet students. Initially it was named Little Angels Convent later transformed to Little Angels Public School. The first Principal was Sri Narayanacharyulu, later Principals were Sri Dasaradhraj, Mrs Mary Suvarnam, T.K.V Tirumalacharyulu, Mrs Yunan, and A.V. Ragavulu, K. Manohar and now N.S.R.Srinivas Rao, young and dynamic personality is the Principal and Sri K.T Acharyulu, who is only one associated with the school right from establishment, is vice-principal and our computer teacher Muralidhar sir ,hindi teacher Rajini madam are also a very good personalities in our school.

Motto

The school motto is "Be Vigilant".

The House system

The student body is divided into four houses named after Indian mountain ranges:

This division of the student body creates competition between the students. Houses were introduced by Mrs. Unan Than, principal of the school in 1997.

The Prefectorial System

The prefectorial system is used in the school. A School People Leader (SPL)is selected who is physically and academically capable and leads the school assembly for prayer, games etc. The SPL is usually from the higher classes like 10th.
