Look Left is a bi-monthly political magazine produced by the Workers Party of Ireland.[1]
History and profile
Founded in 2006 (Issue 1 September–October 2006) and relaunched in a more broad-left format in March 2010, Look Left covers a range of broad-left views in addition to being the political organ of the Workers' Party. According to its website, Look Left provides a non-sectarian platform for progressive news, views and debate from working class communities as well as from a wide range of left-wing activists.[2]
The magazine is unusual in that it is sold not only in retail outlets but is also sold and distributed door-to-door by party members in areas where the party is organised.
Editors
Look Left is produced by an editorial committee under the direction of Workers Party General Secretary John Lowry and is assisted by a number of journalists on a voluntary basis.
