Doron Losky (born 24 January 1997), better known by his stage name Lostkeyz, is an Australian rapper from Sydney, New South Wales.[3] Doron graduated from Emanuel School in 2014[3] and became active earlier that year when he began uploading his music for free online. His works have been influenced by musicians such as The Beatles, Frank Ocean, and Mac Miller.[4][5] Lostkeyz released his debut single, Do What You Love,[6] in March 2015 to SoundCloud and Bandcamp. Lostkeyz achieved success and reached number 13 & 14 on the Triple J Unearthed charts for his debut and sophomore singles, Do What You Love and Lagging On. His third single Live It Up, reached number 7 on the Triple J Unearthed charts.
Career
Lostkeyz previously played guitar and was a DJ at house parties, which generated his interest in the music scene. Losky provided additional vocals in the 2008 Australian independent film, Hey, Hey, It's Esther Blueburger. He began producing works under the name Lostkeyz in May 2014, during year 12 of high school.[7] Lostkeyz has released four singles in 2015,[8] "Do What You Love", "Lagging On", "Live It Up"[2] and "Too Late". Prior to these releases, he supported Daily Meds in November 2014 at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney.[9] Lostkeyz has received airplay from FBi Radio, Bondi Beach Radio as well as other community and local stations throughout 2014, 2015 and 2016. Lostkeyz released his debut mixtape Organic Narratives through Acclaim Magazine[10] on October 2, 2015.
Personal life
Losky first performed at musical evenings known as The Jam, hosted by Socialist-Zionist youth movement Habonim Dror and spearheaded by Sydney musician Mitchell Burnie.[11] In 2015, Losky spent his year volunteering at Kibbutz Revivim as part of the Habonim Dror Shnat program.[12]
