Mariuccia Medici
Mariuccia Medici (February 18, 1910 – February 23, 2012) was an Italian-born Swiss actress, known for roles in television and theater.[1] She performed many of her works in the Ticinese and Swiss Italian dialects used in Ticino.[1] In 2001, she penned an opinion piece on the importance the preservation of the dialects in swissinfo.[1] She also worked as a primary school teacher for more than forty years in Lugano.[1]
Medici died on February 23, 2012, in Lugano, Switzerland, at the age of 102.[2]
