Martin Mehren

Martin Mehren (8 August 1905 – 2 October 2002) was a Norwegian businessperson and sportsperson.

He was born in Kristiania to merchant Herman Mehren and Agnethe Ingberg, and was an uncle of poet Stein Mehren.[1]

Mehren became Norwegian champion in rowing several times, and twice Scandinavian champion. In 1931 he crossed Greenland on ski, following Nansen's route from 1888. Together with his brother, he chaired the clothing company Herman Mehren AS from 1935, which had been established by his father. He chaired the Norwegian Trekking Association from 1953 to 1957, and was a member of the advisory board from 1957 to 1981.[1][2]
