Melissa Paull (born March 22, 1980) is an American actress and stand-up comic. Paull is most notable for her membership in the recurring cast of comedians on sketch comedy series MADtv.

Biography

Melissa Paull was born in Los Angeles, California. She went to college and studied quantum physics. While in college, she would work during the day as an intern for Polygram Music Publishing. However, on the nights that she was not waiting tables as a waitress, she was working the L.A. comedy clubs as a stand-up comic.

In 2001, she made the slow transition from a stand-up comedian to a comedy actress. Prior to joining the cast of MADtv, Paull had made small appearances on shows like Cursed, ER, CSI: Miami and Six Feet Under.

Career

MADtv

Melissa Paull officially joined the cast of MADtv in 2003, as a feature performer, for the ninth season. She was noted for her celebrity impressions of Jessica Lynch and Shannen Doherty. However, her tenure on MADtv was limited to only one season. At the end of Season Nine, in 2004, her contract was not renewed.

After her tenure on MADtv, Paull made appearances on several television shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Shield and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Her most recent film credits include Marked, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, Nobody Needs to Know and The GoodTimesKid.
