Merhoff is one of the forty sectors in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

According to the 2000 United States Census, Merhoff has a population of 4,955 inhabitants.[1]

Location

Although Merhoff Street commences its journey south of Baldorioty Expressway on Marginal Street, only the space covered between Gilberto Monroig Street and Conde Avenue is considered the Merhoff sector. The word Merhoff is a portmanteau from the French mer and German hoff meaning "Sea Hope."
