Mesua stylosa is a species of flowering plant in the Calophyllaceae family. It is found only in Sri Lanka.

Suwanda tree in Sinhalese.
Tree description
Medium size evergreen tree.Endemic to tropical rain forests.It is not can be found in natural forests & last time report between 1900 & 1950. There are several trees in Peradeniya garden [Sri Lanka].
Uses
Mesua stylosa wood is Reddish Brown caller & it is very strong,hard & heavy.It use for building constriction.
