Mike Bennett (writer)

Mike Bennett is a British script writer, playwright[1] and record producer.

As a record producer and composer, Bennett has worked with many established artists such as Diane Charlemagne, Andy Rourke, Toyah,[2] Wishbone Ash,[3] Hazel O’Connor, BMX Bandits, Gregory Isaacs,[4] Sham 69, The Specials, Neville Staple as well contributing as writer and producer for The Fall[5] and Ian Brown - with whom he wrote the single "Golden Gaze".[6]

Bennett has written for several comedians[7] including, Rik Mayall, Bobby Davro, Frankie Howerd, Jim Bowen and Anita Harris.

In conjunction with Lord Bernard Miles and Jane Asher, Bennett co-wrote the long running educational West End and regional production Safety In Numbers[8] and It's all in the Stars. As well as working extensively with Children’s ITV, Bennett’s work has appeared on Loose Ends BBC Radio 4, Young London LBC, Fist Full of Vinyl KXLUFM and The Word Channel 4.
