Mike Tannura
Mike Tannura was a meteorologist for WCIA, the CBS affiliate in Champaign, Illinois, from 2001 - 2004 and KHAS, the NBC affiliate in Hastings, Nebraska from 1998-2001.[1]
In 2006, Tannura founded T-storm Weather, which is a subscription-based service in Chicago that provides weather and yield forecasts for buyers and sellers of agricultural commodities in the cash and futures markets.[2] The company is now widely regarded as one of the best weather and analytical firms in the grain futures industry.
Tannura has a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Iowa State University and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.[1]
Tannura is often called "T-Storm" because of his love of severe weather and because his last name begins with the letter "T". He is well known for his ability to recite storm statistics for every major weather system to ever hit the continental United States.
